IIIum SYMPOSIUM SYRO-ARABICUM (3-7 February 2015)

Object: Participation at the IIIum Symposium Syro-Arabicum, organized by
● The Department of Syro-Antiochian Sciences at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik
(USEK) and the
● Center for Documentation and Research on Arab Christianity (CEDRAC).

Madam, Sir, Rev. Father,
We would like to remind you of the double Congress jointly undertaken by the
Department of Syro-Antiochian Sciences (USEK) and the Center for Documentation and
Research on Arab Christianity (CEDRAC) relative to the IIIum Symposium Syro-Arabicum.
This double Congress will be held in Lebanon from 3 to 7 February 2015. It will deal
with everything concerning the Syriac and the Christian Arab world: literature, history, art,
theology, liturgy, etc.

We would be grateful for letting us know, by either an affirmative or negative reply.
1. If you intend to participate
2. If you intend to give a contribution to the Syriac field
3. If you intend to give a contribution in the Christian Arab area
Please let us know by June 30, 2014, even if it’s only an intention. This will allow us to
know more or less how many people intend to participate, and to choose the venue of the
Congress accordingly.
As the previous two symposia, it is located between the 11th Symposium Syriacum-9th
International Congress of Arab Christian Studies (held in Malta in July 2012) and the 12th
Symposium Syriacum-10th International Congress of Arab Christian Studies (to be held as
scheduled in Rome, Italy, beginning September 2016).

(USEK) et
● le Centre de Documentation et de Recherches Arabes Chrétiennes (CEDRAC).

Madame, Monsieur, Rév. Père,
Nous aimerions vous rappeler le double Congrès qu’entreprennent conjointement le Département des Sciences Syro-Antiochiennes (USEK) et le Centre de Documentation et de Recherches Arabes Chrétiennes (CEDRAC) relatif au IIIum Symposium Syro-Arabicum.
Ce double Congrès se tiendra au Liban du 3 au 7 février 2015. Il traitera de tout ce qui concerne le monde syriaque et le monde arabe chrétien : littérature, histoire, art, théologie, liturgie, etc.
Nous vous serions reconnaissants de nous faire savoir, par oui ou par non
1. si vous avez l’intention d’y participer
2. si vous avez l’intention d’y donner une contribution dans le domaine syriaque
3. si vous avez l’intention d’y donner une contribution dans le domaine arabe chrétien
Prière de nous faire savoir cela d’ici le 30 juin 2014, même s’il s’agit seulement d’une intention. Cela nous permettra de savoir plus ou moins combien de personnes ont l’intention d’y participer, pour choisir le lieu du congrès en conséquence.
Comme les deux précédents Symposiums, celui-ci se situe entre le 11e Symposium Syriacum–9e
Congrès International des Études Arabes Chrétiennes et le 12e Symposium Syriacum–10e
Congrès International des Études Arabes Chrétiennes qui se tiendra comme prévu à Rome, Italie, début septembre 2016.
